Sec. 1. Increase in reimbursement for therapy services. Resolved: That the
Department of Human Services shall adopt rules to increase the
amount of reimbursement under the Medicaid program for
occupational and physical therapy, speech and language
pathologist and audiologist services to 70% of the usual and
customary charge. The department shall adopt these rules to take
effect January 1, 2003. Rules adopted pursuant to this section
are major substantive rules as defined in the Maine Revised
Statutes, Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter II-A.

 
SUMMARY

 
This resolve requires the Department of Human Services to
adopt rules that take effect on January 1, 2003 to increase the
amount of reimbursement under the Medicaid program for
occupational and physical therapy, speech and language
pathologist and audiologist services to 70% of the usual and
customary charge.
