The Maine Community
College System will require ongoing General Fund appropriations of $12.5
million per year beginning in fiscal year 2025-26 to implement the Maine Free
Community College Program which provides a waiver for the payment of tuition
and mandatory fees for eligible students. |
|
Part EEEE of LD
210, the Governor's proposed budget for the 2026-2027 biennium, also includes
language that make permanent the Maine Free Community College Program with
similar eligibility requirements as in this legislation. General Fund
