Ms. Sweet has also served in state government, run for statewide public office and co-founded the Civil Rights Team in the Office of the Maine Attorney General. In Memory of:
(5-22) Anne E. Davis, of Old Orchard Beach. As a young woman, Mrs. Davis had various jobs driving trucks, including a job at Dodge Oil Company delivering heating fuel. She later drove a school bus for the Old Orchard Beach school system while raising her twin daughters. During the summers, she drove the bus for summer camp programs and field trips. When her daughters graduated from high school, she earned a degree in nursing and became a registered nurse. She most recently worked at Southridge Rehab and Living Center in Biddeford. She was a member of the Old Orchard Beach Alumni Association for staff members, served as the Secretary at the American Legion Post 76 Auxiliary and was a member of Saco Grange #53. Mrs. Davis will be long remembered and sadly missed by her family, friends and community;

(5-23) Norma Farrington, of Andover. Ms. Farrington was a member of the Calvary Bible Church, the Andover Historical Society, the East Andover Community Club and the Mollyockett Mixers Square Dancers. Ms. Farrington will be long remembered and sadly missed by her family, friends and community;

(5-24) Zachary Blaine McKechnie, of Bucksport. Mr. McKechnie was a veteran of the United States Army who served as a combat medic. He served in South Korea and earned the Expert Field Medical Badge, one of the Army's most rigorous and selective medical qualifications. He then served at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland. He later became a Small Craft Master, working primarily as Captain of the Friendship, but also as relief Captain of the MV Captain Susan Clark and the tug Pentagoet. He was licensed as a 100-ton master. His role included the operation and maintenance of United States Coast Guard inspected vessels. An alumnus of the Maine Maritime Academy, he was a strong supporter of the MMA Yacht Club. Mr. McKechnie will be long remembered and sadly missed by his family, friends and community;
